Iesu hawddgar, 'rwy'n dy ddewis,
Nerth i ddilyn ol dy droed;
Yna caiff fy enaid 'hedeg,
I'r hapusrwydd pena 'rioed;
Ni raid ymladd â gelynion,
Ni raid teithio daearlawr
Ond dysgleirio yn mysg myrddiynau,
Gylch yr orsedd fel y wawr.
Yno derfydd i mi ofni
Gwawd, a gwg, a chas y byd;
Pan y caffwyf gyfiawn olwg
Ar dy hawddgar wynebpryd;
Gwedd dy wyneb sy'n dwyn bywyd,
Gwedd dy wyneb sy'n dwyn hedd,
Gwedd dy wyneb ydyw'r cwbl,
Yma a thu draw i'r bedd.

Iesu hawddgar, 'rwy'n dy ddewis;
Nerth i ddilyn ôl dy droed;
Yna caiff fy enaid hedeg
I'r hapusrwydd uwch y rhôd;
Tra fo'm pridd yn ymgymmysgu
A'r hwn gwnaethpwyd ef ryw bryd,
Llewyrch wyneb Duw ddysgleirio
Ranau f'enaid oll i gyd.
Wedi'm golchi oddiwrth sorod
Pechod ffiaidd drwg ei ryw,
Fel drych goleu,
i dderbyn delw
Holl sancteiddrwydd pur fy Nuw;
Ni raid teithio'r
ddaear mwyach
Yn mhlith pryfaid gwael y llawr,
Ond dysgleirio 'mhlith myrddiynau
Gylch yr orsedd fel y wawr.

Tonau [8787D]: gwelir: Cofia f'enaid cyn it' dreulio Mae fy nghalon am ehedeg O mor werthfawr yw'r gair perffaith |
Beautiful Jesus, I am choosing thee,
Strength to follow thy footprints;
There my soul will get to run,
To the chief happiness ever;
No need to fight with enemies,
No need to travel the earth below
But to shine amongst myriads,
Around the throne like the dawn.
There will vanish for me fearing,
Scorn, and frown, and the world's hatred;
When I get a right view
Upon thy beautiful countenance;
The appearance of thy face brings life,
The appearance of thy face brings peace,
The appearance of thy face is the whole,
Here and on yonder side of the grave.
- - - - -
Beautiful Jesus, I am choosing thee,
Strength to follow thy footprints;
There my soul will get to run,
To the happiness above the sky;
While my soil is mixing
With what he made some time,
The radiance of God's face shall shine on
All the parts of my soul altogether.
After I am washed from the soiling
Of detestable sin of an evil kind,
Like a mirror of light,
to receive the wholly
Sacred, pure image of my God;
There is no need to travel the
earth any more
Amongst the base worms of the ground,
But to shine amongst myriads
Around the throne like the dawn.
